Tales from the Cellar, A Passport Event for 2014 was reimagined with you in mind. We have added some new features that are sure to raise the event to a whole new level and continued with the features you have grown to love.
A Best Seller Theme – The participating wineries will transform into a whole new world inspired by a favorite book, and build the experience around that theme with wine, food and music. Imagine walking into the old west in True Grit, or finding yourself in the world of Doctor Suess with Green Eggs and Ham.
The All Access Pass – This pass allows you to experience both weekends of Passport 2014 and save money while doing it. You choose how many days and what days you would like to attend, or just come to all four days. You also get the all new Library Card included in your ticket price.
The Library Card – This feature allows you to get more benefits including a larger souvenir tasting glass, special library wine tastings, special vertical tastings or other wine tastings, and special pricing on selected wines (offers vary by winery). Plus, you are entered to win a ticket package to all other 2014 El Dorado County events such as the Rocks and Rhones, Cuisine on Camino and the Fair Play Festival. Plus you are entered to win a wine library – a bottle of wine from every participating winery!
A Fan Favorite
Tales from the Cellar, A Passport Event has been a fan favorite for over 20 years. A touring event throughout the El Dorado County Wine region, you get to experience the breathtaking beauty and warm rural hospitality at the participating wineries. Each winery will have food and wine pairings for your enjoyment, plus special pricing on wines you can only find during Passport. Many wineries will have music and other activities and encourage you to have fun. Don't forget to attend the Passport Winemaker Dinner held the Friday night before each weekend. This year this amazing event will be held at the beautiful new Manzanita Kitchen in Diamond Springs. This is a gourmet farm to fork event featuring locally sourced and fresh ingredients served in five courses each paired with award winning El Dorado wines.
